This was my submission for the most resent DSFDF portrait challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed painting her. My painting buddy & I exchanged the portraits we did of each other.
This site will be dedicated primarily to painting. Leatherwork will be added periodically. I have been a saddle maker since 1977 and painting since 1973. I love to paint and for the last several years I have been sharing my love for painting with my siblings. I will be sharing this blog with some of my sisters to display their work. Images may not be used or copied in any manner or for any purpose without my expressed written consent and permission.

Trail ride near Mt. Hood Oregon
I painted this piece as a donation to the Columbia County Sheriff's Posse/Oregon Equestrian Trails, poker ride 2007. For 2 cans of food or monetary donation to benefit the Columbia County Food bank, participants received one raffle ticket to win the sawblade painting. There were hundreds of tickets in the can, with a little girl pulled out at random to draw the winning ticket......the ticket drawn belonged to my sister. Go figure. I loved painting this. There are two blue jays in the near tree that the second horse is startled by.
Additionally, to cover up a 4" center hole in the blade, I welded an 8" circle blade in the center. Take another look and you'll see it take shape.
