Rockaway will be my finale submission for "Art per Day" this time around.  I've enjoyed painting and drawing each day throughout January.  I hope you have enjoyed viewing my Art per day.  Perhaps in the future, I will be able to give this challenge another try.  At the begining, when  I challenged myself to do Art per Day for an entire year, I really had no idea what I was getting myself in for, or how fast the time would go and how many times I was in a crunch to get something posted.  Please check back from time to time to see whats new.  Thank you for checking in with me. While flipping through photos looking for something to paint, I found several photos of my cats and decided to paint Guido.  There will most likely be more kitty pictures.  Stay tuned.

Earth Wind and Fire

By special request from my sister. 

this was definitely a challenge for me.  It had to be painted in reverse.  The finished side had to be painted first.  I scraped a lot of paint off before I was half way satisfied.  In the daylight, you can see the gold and the silver shimmer.

I had a late start on this one.....I had to wait for my grandchildren to go to bed to begin painting....and they didn't go to bed until after 9:30!  I did the sketching at work during my lunchtime.  I finished up while watching Letterman...Yawn.

This bird was on our porch one morning, after smacking into our picture window.  He was a little dazed and eventually was able to fly away.
